Make sure you love not only the colors, and tones in your photographers gallery, but their posing style too. It’s important to see how they’ve captured other weddings, ask to see a full gallery of their images from a wedding.

Everyone has a different budget for their wedding day. You have to decide what works for you as a couple. There are wedding photographers to fit everyones finances out there, but as a general rule of thumb, the more you pay, the more experienced and therefore better outcome you will have.

Get on a call or a Facetime with your potential photographer. They will be spending upwards of a few hours with you, you want to feel comfortable with their personality, and that you can be yourselves!

Photographer vs Associate

Make sure the wedding photographer you hire, will be the one shooting your photos. Many bigger studios use associate photographers, which is fine, but just be sure that you know who you are getting on the day!

If you’re able, schedule an engagement session with your photographer beforehand so you can get a feel for their style, their way of shooting, and it’s a great ice breaker so you’re prepare for the big day too!

Above all have fun choosing and researching for one of the best days of your life! If you’d like to chat about your Maui Wedding you can email me here.
