Laura and Matt’s Paipu Beach elopement was definitely one of the coolest I’ve gotten to photograph. We started at Paipu Beach with a traditional Hawaiian ceremony. It was really important to Laura and Matt that they infused Polynesian tradition into their ceremony. They had a canoe escort and traditional dancers. Everything was beautiful! After the ceremony, we went into Honolua Jungle for some portraits. Once we had explored a bit, it was time for some lunch. Then, we headed into Lahaina town and took a little break.

After a mid day nap at the Air BnB, Laura and Matt joined me back at Halekala for sunset photos and some stargazing. Laura and Matt are just so sweet and so in love. In their own words, “we are far better together than apart”. It was an honor to photograph their elopement.
